D-BAT baseball and softball academy was founded in 1998, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. D-BAT has more than 100 baseball and softball schools in 18 states in the United States currently, and is larger than the total size of “the second to sixth on the ranking list” in the United States in terms of the number of schools and student players.

Most teams in the major league baseball（MLB, such as New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and other traditional strong teams have players that come from D-BAT academy.

D-BAT and Beijing Douglas Sports Culture Co., Ltd. reached an exclusive cooperation agreement within Greater China on March 31, 2017. Both sides will start the construction and promotion of D-BAT baseball academy in China jointly. The coaches of D-BAT Chinese campuses are all professional baseball coaches.

The training content and process of D-BAT China is based on the training curriculum designed by the D-BAT headquarter in the US. D-BAT will work with MLB in depth to train and search for potential players to go to the United States, aiming to discover Chinese baseball players, like basketball did with for example Yao Ming.
