Saul is a Business Administrator; he joined the school 2 years ago. In Wellington, the Colombian started supporting children with additional learning support needs in and out of the classroom. Following this project, he created and planned a Spanish Club in the Junior School as an After-School Activity.
This academic year, Saul joined the Wellington Academy team as the Spanish teacher, where he has truly discovered his passion for teaching his native language. In these lessons, the children have had the opportunity to speak, write and read in Spanish by a range of activities that engage and connect with the children such as songs, worksheets and games.
There are many reasons why studying Spanish is very important, but the main reason is that the number of Spanish speakers is constantly growing around the world and there are 21 countries that have Spanish as their official language. In addition to this, it is one of the official languages of the United Nations.
